Methodology

Every subnet metric on this site — market cap, price, holders, emission share — comes from the taostats API, a third-party block explorer. None of it has been independently checked against the Bittensor chain itself.

Metrics are labelled research — third-party, not verified against chain. That label means: plausible and sourced, but not cross-checked against a second, independent reader of the chain.

Every number is stamped with the block height of the snapshot it came from, so a figure can always be traced to the moment it was measured.

When a value could not be retrieved — a rate limit, a missing field, a provider outage — it is shown as unavailable with the reason. It is never shown as zero, because a zero on this site always means a measured zero.
