A miner's GPU card only earns after a hardware-verification service the subnet's own team runs says it is real — the validator never takes the miner's word for it.

What this is

Targon rents out confidential-compute GPUs — hardware that keeps a workload private even from whoever owns the machine.
A miner does not compete on one shared score. It bids GPU cards into a per-hardware-model auction — one for H200, another for B200.
Before a card counts for anything, the validator gets a signed attestation quote from the node itself and checks it against Tower, a service the subnet's own team runs.
Auction targets, price caps, and the burn-key split are not fixed in the validator's own code — they come from that same service, every interval.

What a miner is actually paid for

Verified card count inside an auction that is still under its target, capped at that auction's max price. Nothing in this calculation touches what the card actually did for a renter.
